I can understand the argument for assimilated folks turning anti-immigrant. But I don’t think people are ok with their homeland simply being shit on just because they’ve settled in the USA. I live in and among what are probably the highest Dominican and Puerto Rican zip codes in America, and there’s huge pride for their homelands. There’s also a ton of family and friends still back home in most cases, too.

Immigrants follow the news/social media in their country/language and I would be shocked if this is not blowing up on Puerto Rican spaces. Half the cars in Orlando have a Puerto Rican flag in the window. The problem is that I doubt there are any meaningful numbers in swing states.

If nothing else, this can be thrown in the faces of all those MAGA people that we know who swear up and down they’re not racists. The racism is the whole point and we’ve been telling them that for years. Yeah, I know, no “n-word”= no racist. But I’d like to ask them if Trump wanted to repeal the Civil Rights Act of 1964, would they be on board with that? Like, there are no deal-breakers when it comes to the racism. They cheer for it. And at the same time want to say they’re not racists.
