Convicted felon Donald J. Trump thread XXX: President Elect

The racism has always the #1 draw for Trump since day one when he promised to build a big wall to keep out the Mexican rapists. His best play is to talk about that nonstop.

This, I think enough people see the trans stuff as not really an issue and punching down, but are fine with hating brown and black people (much easier to convince them that illegals are stealing their job and going on a murder/rape spree).

Here in WI every other political commercial is anti trans or anti immigrant. It is gross and I am sure is effective to some voters. These same voters probably dont even know anyone who is trans or undocumented.

The closer we get to the election, the more I hate the electoral college.

I think it depends who you guys are calling anti-trans. I’m pretty sure my views would be labels “anti-trans” by at least a minority of this site but:

(1) I would never consider voting for Trump

(2) those anti-trans Trump ads make me sick. Putting people on the screen who’s only “crime” is looking different / wearing clothes of the “wrong” gender and implying that it’s somehow bad for Harris to simply stand next to them or treat them as human beings is disgusting.

I hope you all are right, because all the reporting I’ve hear has said that the Trump campaign’s largest ad expenditure so far (north of $60M) has been exactly the ugly anti-trans stuff that you guys think won’t move the needle.

You’re not a real man if you aren’t flushing these modern librul toilets at least 12 times.

The last point is the key one. Probably a lot of smart people in the group that just want a tax cut for themselves

Remove that group and the rest are mostly idiots. Especially those who want tax cuts for others (i.e. the billionaires so it can trickle down to all of us)

Yep and he constructed about 1% of the amount he said he would so I guess we’ll have to keep the Trump Dynasty in power for the next few hundred years to make sure it gets completed.

I think, and I am not exaggerating, that literally every pro-Trump ad I’ve heard in the last month has been anti-trans and/or anti-immigrant. Maybe 95% true for anti Sherrod Brown ads. (I’m in Ohio obviously.)

It’s repulsive. (And probably effective.)

It’s just so depressing that something like trans-rights etc. is any kind of a factor in a Presidential election. We’ve got a big country, a lot of issues, but this is like saying nose-jobs or boob enhancements should be the pressing issues of our times. I guess “don’t sweat the small stuff” is just not a thing in this country.

Provoking fear, stoking the hate that follows, and exploiting the result for power has been an effective strategy for a looooong time.

Yeah all I see in Texas is anti trans stuff.

Same here. Have not seen a single Trump ad that isn’t fear/hate mongering about trans people and immigrants/non-whites.

He does not have a single ad with a positive message.

I know negative ads are as old as time, but it really is mind boggling how Trump doesn’t offer a single positive thing. Never says how he’s going to actually help people. It’s all about stoking fear. Always. Everything about him - ads, speeches, social media posts, demeanor - is negative. No plans, just yelling, wheezing, and sharting.

Here’s the thing though, are we just talking about when a candidate has a real platform promising anti-trans legislation (bathroom bills, crotch inspections for girls’ sports, making em all wear pink triangles or something, etc.)? Or just that whole “hey this guy thinks they’re freaks too! We’re the same, I should vote for him” thing? Because I think with Trump it’s obviously the latter.

Trump has seven days to take steps to block the disclosure.

Chutkan said Trump’s lawyers identified “no specific substantive objections to particular proposed redactions” and “blanket objections to further unsealing are without merit.”

Mixed feelings. I really don’t think this gets anybody to refrain from voting for him, and it incites the crazies.

Is this GREEAR’s house?
