Congress: WTF do you do all day?

Continuing the discussion from "Get used to me slaying": The Journal of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—Drink water and don't be racist:

I started a new thread for this because I thought it was a topic that needed more exposure. My congress twitter follows are really limited to the AOC thread and any tweets that people post. AOC seems to do a lot of work and effort in helping her constituents directly. Do any other congress people do this? All I know is that while “Come on, Ted” Cruz was running to Mexico during the Texas ice storm, AOC was busy raising funds for constituents that weren’t even hers.

Any other examples of congress folks doing things so directly for their constituents?

This was the AOC tweet that raised the question for me:

In theory, nonpartisan constituent services are the reason why Congress has so many recesses.

It sounds like Bill Cassidy in Louisiana is doing a much better job of being a Senator in a crisis than Ted Cruz in Texas.
