Oregon being up 14 at halftime and then OSU quitting halfway through the third quarter like Florida State in 2015 would be absolutely glorious.

Since thereā€™s still some time before playoffs resume, I thought Iā€™d supply some ASU trivia the TV guys wonā€™t mention. This will be over a few days bc Iā€™m not up to a lot of one-handed typing. If you guys want to do the same for your team that would be cool.

ASU has played in the Peach Bowl once before, in 1970, but Iā€™ll start with the game between ASU and Arizona in Tucson at the end of the 1968 season. ASU was 7-2 and ranked 20th in the coachesā€™ poll, UofA 8-1, ranked 19th. The winner was due to be selected to play in the Sun Bowl but the Arizona coach decided to be a dick and demanded to be the choice before the game, win or lose, or heā€™d keep his team home. The Sun Bowl people caved.

The Sun would have been a chance for ASU to win their first bowl. I think they were 0-3. But now they were left with nowhere to go. Obviously this pissed people off and they started talking about a new bowl to be played locally. But maybe more about that later. Anyway karma kicked in and ASU beat UofA 30-7. The Wildcats went on to lose to Auburn in the bowl game, 34-10. The UofA coach, Darrell Mudra, resigned and moved on to greener pastures after the season. I guess he ended up in the cfb hall of fame. That ASU-UofA game is now referred to as ā€œThe Ultimatum Bowl.ā€

Oklahoma was down 21-14 against Navy and scored a TD with 6 seconds left.

I had under 44.

Oklahoma went for two and didnā€™t get it.

Brent Venables has had his struggles but heā€™s a good guy.

Just shows why Alabama shouldā€™ve been in the playoff, OU got another quality loss to a team with $0 NIL money.

What was the o/u on number of Nebraska safeties?

There werenā€™t any safeties.

When I turned the game on Nebraska was winning 20-2

The only problem with safeties is that you only get 2 points. You should get at least 7 imo, maybe more.

if that was the rule, Iowa last year couldā€™ve been the best college football team in history

2 pt conversion return.

These Iowa State uniforms are awful.

Yeah they are.

I was talking to my BIL (ISU alum) about how often they wear black and white. We both fucking hate how often they do it.

ETA: This is the 6th time this year.
