Might as well, as I’m figuring a 0% chance of FBS this season.
Instead the NCAA punted to the divisions, who are to decide by the 21st. However, they did say that if more than 50% of teams in a division in a sport call it quits, they won’t hold that championship. With only one conference planning to play, we can assume the D-III football playoffs are toast. FCS Big Sky is going to meet tomorrow regarding this. None of the above directly effect FBS.
All D3 and D2 Fall championships officially canceled. Teams and conferences can still choose to play on their own and some likely will, but no National Championships.
D3 schools don’t have athletic scholarships, but I assume d2 scholarships are honored if they don’t play. Probably crazy of me to assume.

Big Sky and Pioneer conferences pulling the plug on football today… which means there won’t be FCS playoffs. Besides some non-conference games being cancelled, this doesn’t directly effect FBS.
However… with no FCS, D-II, D-III, NAIA and JuCo playoffs, and the majority of those teams not even playing this fall, I can’t imagine FBS going forward. Zero week is in just 22 days.
FBS is 100% going forward.

The irony of some teams and coaching staffs to circumvent sane procedures only to end with it all being canceled would not be lost on me.

ETA: the real issue for the universities is preserving the legal fiction that students cannot be employees. If football players can crack that egg, then teaching grad students can too.

B10 canceling the season is a huge story IMO. I did not think there was any way the big money programs would cancel. It would be pretty idiotic for the rest of the leagues to not follow suit.
