Had Houston -6.5 on the last leg of a parlay so I was annoyed they gagged it at the end of regulation, but holy moly what a last few minutes + OT that was.

Iowa State womenās player Audi Crooks went for 40 in their first round game. Tonight had just 10 on 3-21 shooting and fouled out. 
Still somehow took the #2 seed Stanford to OT.
Gameās been a banger. The answer for why is Iowa State shooting a disgusting 12/20 from 3.

Phew. Gonna go to the E8 game if Stanford wins one more.
I wasnāt watching - just checked to see how Crooks did - but do see that an ISU player had 36 and a Stanford player had 41 on sick shooting. They both scored nearly half their teamsā points.
Wouldāve been more enjoyable if the final two minutes of regulation hadnāt taken a half hour.
Crooks looked like a cheat code two nights ago, being that much bigger than anyone else on the floor. But Stanford had much better size and 2-3 women who could match up to her. Crooks isnāt especially quick and couldnāt really cope with women big enough to defend her.
Iriafen, meanwhile, had Stanford on her back, mostly shooting and hitting high percentage 2s while guarding Cooks at the same time. Good thing, too, because Brink, despite all the hype, was nothing special, even if she did succeed in shutting down Crooks as well. But if Iowa State shoots merely a Steph-Curry-esque 40% from 3 as a team, Stanford probably covers the spread.

Wouldnāt say begging. Begging is to Stevens/Wright/Donovan. But hey Scott Drew won one conference championship game, and one NCAA tournament game this year. That alone matches Calās last 4 years.
