Why? It was when it was Grand Canyon College but Iāve been on campus. Seemed real enough. Since then there was some shady nonprofit/for-profit back and forth and other stuff but that just made it more concrete to me.
The only time Iād ever heard of it has been on commercials talking about online learning. It would be like University of Phoenix was in the NCAA tournament. But for all I know they are B&M as well.

Mostly agree but wouldnāt have those options tied. I think itās 1. Stevens by an enormous margin then 2. Donovan. Two guys that destroyed CBB and have a lot of recent NBA experience which is light years ahead of CBB. Stevens is only 47 and maybe the greatest mind in basketball. Seems like a big drop off after them, but I wonder if KY is smart enough to even call those two guys first in that order and potentially offer to double their current salaries.
Iām sure heāll show up, but theyāre only in the same tier because they are all expected to say āThanks, but no thanksā. Drew is the best one he thinks they actually have a shot at.
I guess the point Iām making is that I also had Stevens and Donovan as the obvious top options, but I donāt believe Kentuckyās AD is smart enough to call them first because he seems like a terrible talent evaluator. Itās the same guy who hired Billy Gillispie. Imagine what a disaster it would be if he hired some similar bullshit coach sunrunning a mid major or whatever.
Billie Gillispie seems horrible in hindsight, but I remember at the time thinking it was a nice hire. I am a lolcasualfan, though.
