Goddamn, the Virginia basketball board is melting down. Understandable to an extent, but a bunch of people are just unhinged. How they wish Clark didn’t come back, how he sucks (note: he had a great career), how it’s so horrible for it to end like this when you “give your heart and soul rooting for a team all season.”
I don’t agree with this, two decades ago 12’s were better vs 5’s than now, FAU would’ve been a 12 seed and stomped somebody in the first round and maybe made a run instead of thrown into the awful 8/9 game. (lol at it being Memphis too, that’s standard committee)
I’m one of those guys. I don’t, however, want Kihei Clark to go fuck himself. It was a shitty play to end his career that he’s going to have to live with and might outweigh his season-saving pass in 2019. I just hate how little perspective sports fans have. I’m also guessing all these people who can’t get a grip are between 40 and 65-years-old.
look UVA fans, most others would take the ship and get embarrassed for years afterwards, just take it in stride, doesn’t matter rang that one time not long ago.
I love Kihei Clark. He’s been a wonderful player for Virginia. Got the most out of his talent and gave the school and its fans the greatest play of all time. It’s painful the way the game ended today, but I’m not going to act like it was worse for me than it is for him and all the other guys on the team.
There’s a difference between being upset about a loss and wishing ill on a player or practicing revisionist history like how they’ve never been good or shouldn’t have come back for a 5th season.
Haha yes at a minimum, what the hell? Unless you own the team you look like a complete jackass saying this out loud and I say this as someone who’s bracket took a fucking on that shot
What also sucks about the play at the end of the Virginia game is that there are universes where Clark gets enough on that heave where a Virginia player gets a hand on it and either corrals it or it gets knocked around enough to run out most of the clock. Plus there are MORE universes where the guy simply misses the shot at the end.
