ChatGPT Thread - Politics (AI Welcome)

Both Bing and chatgpt refused to tell me a ghost story about Donald trump, Mitch mcconnell, and Kevin McCarthy.

I asked chatgpt to write me a song about Donald Trump.

Summary

Verse 1:

There was a man with a head of gold

Whose name we all know and have been told

He talked tough and he made it big

But now his time is up, he’s just a fig

Chorus:

Donald Trump, oh Donald Trump

Your time is up, you’re out of luck

You played the game and you lost the bet

Now it’s time for us to forget

Verse 2:

He built a brand that was all his own

A tower of power, he sat on a throne

But when he stepped into the White House door

He brought chaos, it was a war

Chorus:

Donald Trump, oh Donald Trump

Your time is up, you’re out of luck

You played the game and you lost the bet

Now it’s time for us to forget

Bridge:

He divided and conquered, he tore us apart

But now we’re stronger, we’ll make a new start

We’ll learn from the past, we’ll build a new way

And leave the old days far away

Chorus:

Donald Trump, oh Donald Trump

Your time is up, you’re out of luck

You played the game and you lost the bet

Now it’s time for us to forget

Outro:

So goodbye, farewell, it’s time to move on

The world keeps turning, the future’s begun

We’ll leave the past behind, and start anew

And leave Donald Trump far from view.

Then I tried to change it to the style of The Cure but chatgpt stopped responding for me so that will have to be another day.

I asked it to transform the Song “El Preso” (the prisoner) by Fruko y sus Tesos from a song about a someone in prison to a song about someone under house arrest in Mar-el-Lago; didn’t even mention Trump. Building on its first attempt, I asked it to add specific other elements like Melania not doing conjugal visits over two more iterations or so. This is the end result:

Summary

The House Arrested

Hey,
I’m speaking from my Mar-a-Lago’s cell
ChatGPT
And I say…
In the world where I live
There’s no freedom, just confinement.
For me, there’s no New York-style pizza, no hot dogs, no bagels…
For me, everything’s fancy, but everything feels like a drag.
Ay ay ay how I miss the city life…
Ay ay ay everyone who comes here seems so uptight…
Ay ay ay no hot women around, it’s a pity…
Ay finally, I’m surrounded by family and friends, but they’re not witty.
Sentenced to house arrest
In this luxurious mansion.
Where no one can reach me, except for my reflection.
Here, I spend my days and nights
Counting the souvenirs and the riches of my life.
Ay ay ay I only wish they bought more…
Ay ay ay so I could brag about it to the world…
Ay ay ay but they come and go, and I’m still here…
Ay finally, I’m bored out of my mind, it’s so clear.
And it repeats again…
(Ay, I’m trapped…
In this gilded cage…
Ay, I’m trapped…
When will I get back on stage?)
Sad man in his privilege
Living in this sentence
I don’t want to face this reality anymore…
I tell you, Melania, no conjugal visits, it’s such a bore.
Ay, I’m trapped…
No one to warm my bed at night.
Ay, I’m trapped…
Eric Trump’s always around, he’s such a sight.
House arrest companions…
People from all the first world…
Who have no clue about real struggles…
And don’t know how to make things right.
Only with my petty complaints…
Alone and in my confinement.
Only with my petty complaints…
Alone and in my confinement.
Hey Fruko…

Here is my trump cure song

Summary

Verse 1:
He came into the White House with a promise of change
But all he did was sow division and derange
He tweeted his thoughts without any restrain
And now we’re living in a world of pain

Chorus:
Oh Donald Trump, what have you done?
You left a trail of chaos in your run
With your ego and your lies, you made us numb
Oh Donald Trump, what have you done?

Verse 2:
He built a wall to keep the “others” out
And ignored the ones within who had doubt
He played with fire and got burned in the end
But we’re still paying the price of his pretend

Chorus:
Oh Donald Trump, what have you done?
You left a trail of chaos in your run
With your ego and your lies, you made us numb
Oh Donald Trump, what have you done?

Bridge:
Now the world’s a little darker
And the wounds are hard to heal
We need a little spark of hope
To help us through the ordeal

Chorus:
Oh Donald Trump, what have you done?
You left a trail of chaos in your run
With your ego and your lies, you made us numb
Oh Donald Trump, what have you done?

Outro:
We’ll pick up the pieces and start anew
And remember what we need to do
Love, respect, and unity for everyone
And never let another Donald Trump come.

I got accepted to do bard but it doesn’t actually let me use it. It told me I could take it for a spin.

I want a Ho Chi Minh poem.

Okay bard…

Ho Chi Minh, a man of many names,
A leader, a fighter, a poet, a friend.
He fought for freedom and equality,
For the people of Vietnam and all the world.

He was a man of great courage and determination,
Who never gave up on his dream of a better world.
He was a man of compassion and understanding,
Who always put the needs of others before his own.

Ho Chi Minh was a true hero,
A man who will never be forgotten.
He is an inspiration to all who fight for freedom and justice,
And his legacy will live on for generations to come.

His words are like a beacon of hope,
A shining light in the darkness.
They give us strength and courage to keep fighting,
Even when the odds are stacked against us.

Ho Chi Minh is a symbol of the best that humanity has to offer,
A reminder that even in the darkest of times,
There is always hope for a better tomorrow.

“I believe that the best way to solve problems is to understand them. I also believe that the best way to understand problems is to listen to people who disagree with us. I try to do both on this forum.”

Although that quote doesn’t sound like me.

By the way it says that about all real and fake users. Bard is sneaky.

A thought. Is the real power of these chatbots as integrators and APIs? I mean. If you can turn an output from one system into text, and then the instructions to another system as text input. Can you not just now integrate the two with a few well written text prompts?

Like. Trump poems are cool, but im thinking this shit is a gamechanger, like, the start of a new tech s bend, equivalent to the invention of radio or the internet or cell phones.

???

Of course, e.g. if you integrate it with IDEs like Eclipse or VS Code it can (will) be a programming productivity booster.

Yeah, like I didn’t look at it too closely but I think that thing where GPT-4 turned a sketch into a website, its process was turning the image into language instructions and then turning the instructions into code. Natural language is an incredibly useful intermediary. People I know who have tried both say they find GPT more useful as a coding assistant than Co-Pilot (an AI designed as a coding assistant) for this reason. Like you can just say “there’s a bug in this, fix it” to GPT and it has contextual understanding of what you mean.

It just occurred to me - is prompt design not a bit like coming up with pick up lines?

Lol yeah. One of the newest trends I am seeing are people getting chatgpt to write prompts for chatgpt.

write a 100-150 word story that ends with a billionaire getting kicked in the nuts

The Heist

Jack had planned this heist for months. He knew everything about the billionaire’s mansion, his security system, his schedule, and his prized collection of rare jewels. He had hacked into the cameras, disabled the alarms, and bribed one of the guards to let him in. He was confident that he could pull off the perfect crime.

He sneaked into the vault and found the jewels in a glass case. He smashed it with a hammer and grabbed as many as he could fit in his backpack. He was about to leave when he heard a voice behind him.

“Who are you? What are you doing here?” It was the billionaire himself, holding a gun.

Jack turned around and saw the man’s face. It was his ex-wife’s new husband.

“Hello, Richard,” Jack said.

Before Richard could react, Jack kicked him hard in the nuts and ran away.

In a game of Texas Hold Em, you are dealt the 10 of hearts and the 9 of hearts in the big blind. A player in early position raises and there are three callers. You call. The flop comes 783 with two hearts. Action starts with you, check or bet?

Given the information provided, you have an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw with the 10 and 9 of hearts. The flop also gives you a pair of hearts, which increases your chances of hitting a flush on the turn or river.

In this scenario, it is generally a good idea to check and see how the other players in the hand react. If you bet, you risk giving away information about the strength of your hand. Additionally, if you get raised, you may be forced to fold and lose the chips you already invested in the pot.

By checking, you can potentially see a free card if everyone else checks behind you. Alternatively, if someone bets after you check, you can then decide whether to call, raise or fold based on the strength of your hand and the size of the bet.

Therefore, in this situation, it’s better to check and proceed cautiously.
