Maybe if you were in a commonwealth country you would understand what the head of state, and a remarkable one at that, can mean to the people. Here in Canada we are all emotional and devastated

I made a joke about queens holding up today at the poker table and a third of them did not know she was dead.
Not sure if this is a weird level. I am in Canada.
I hope we get that national holiday for the funeral at least.

i moved to the US from the UK 22 years ago. I don’t really give a crap and think the royalty thing is all really a bit silly now.

Hot take: Royalty is abusive and traumatic to the royals. It’s basically the keeping of human pets for our amusement, and should be abolished.
