Thought this would be a fun thread idea… and as it so happens, we have quite a famous birthday boy today, too! With some political weight as well! None other than Heinz “Henry” Kissinger was born 100 years ago today in northern Bavaria in the lovely city of Fürth! What do you know?
Well, did you know that, to this day, he supports the local soccer club “SpVgg Greuther Fürth”? And coincidently, Fürth is also the birthplace of the first German railway! Travel on, Heinz!
Another famous person turned 100 today! None other than Russell M. Nelson, the oldest president ever of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! What do you know?
Well, did you know that Nelson has studied at least 12 languages, including French, Latin, Greek, Russian, Chinese, and Hebrew? Also, he was part of a team that developed the heart-lung machine, which enabled the first successful open-heart surgery! Keep on pumping Russ!
