Britney - I'm a Slave 4 U

My pushback for nothing happening is that nearly everyone is completely outraged by this, even deplorables, and that’s really not a great position to be in when the spotlight is this big. Little oxygen-brain Ben posted a #FreeBritney response a few days ago and got vaporized in the comments by his own subs. Meghan McCain had one of the best takes on it I’ve seen yet in MSM. Seems like a great spot for some opportunistic lawyer / AG to come in and sleigh the dragon.

Columbo’s daughter and Britney’s makeup guy know what’s up (starting around 44:00).

I wonder if Lawbro gets the same $100k parting gift that Andrew Wallet got for resigning and is quitting before he’s removed.

That is one of the saddest parts. Brittany’s mom did not want her dad managing any of this but was given the impression it was only going to be very temporary so decided not to make a big deal about it for her sake and Brittany.

The impression giving is jaimie was abusive and oppressive to pretty much everyone in the family and bullied his way into all of this.

I am glad the mom is at least saying something about something now. She should have been advocating for her daughter years and years ago.

It’s astonishing how often bullies win. Donald Trump doesn’t have a single actual friend on this earth and he became President.

Lol her conservator of person is requesting a full 24/7 security detail for both home and office to be paid out of the estate due to receiving “death threats.” Seriously #getrekt #getfukt.

I mean the one on the right still exists so ya Biff was better.

That’s crazy. The judge better not grant that.

Lol are you kidding? This judge will probably have a personal SEAL Team Six detail by Friday.

Jia finally addresses (5:03) the elephant of probate vs. mental health conservatorships. Ronan then claims (11:10) that in “deep conversations with people who defend the conservatorship,” those defenders insinuated that checking the dementia box was justified while implying that she suffers from a degenerative disorder (he refuses to discuss unconfirmed diagnoses that he’s heard). We don’t know exactly who these defenders are, but correlating with the article it’s easy to infer that it’s people tied to her conservatorship:

People on Spears’s team suggest that further hearings will undermine her claims. “God bless her, I felt sorry for her. But at the same time, don’t be telling tall tales,” the member of her team said. “Your problems, what was wrong with you, your shortcomings—don’t keep trying to blame everyone else for it.” The defenders of the conservatorship offer a set of familiar narratives to explain her ire: that Spears is being manipulated by a man—at this moment, according to some, Asghari—with an interest in commandeering her fortune, and that there is a grave medical diagnosis behind the arrangement that the public has no right to know. “It is so fucking irresponsible to say, ‘Let her do whatever she wants to do,’ ” the member of her team said.

So it appears her team is outright admitting they checked the dementia box and that it was warranted. Not only was it not a mistake, they’ve doubled down on it being the justification for the c-ship. Recall that she had recently turned 27 years old when this form was filed while on involuntary hold at UCLA Medical Center, and that three psychiatrists were asked to declare her lack of capacity with the first two refusing. Is there anything you can dream up for their side here that fits this narrative that wouldn’t immediately get laughed out of the room?

No.

IMO, no individual who can headline Vegas shows for years could be simultaneously non-competent to control her own body.

I also assume that a financial conservatorship should only be necessary temporarily during times if and when she is having such struggles that she couldn’t properly oversee her assets.

The simple explanation for all of this is just to follow the money.

yeah this is like, by far, the least complicated major story of the last 5 years

The only other thing that could legit cause dementia is poisoning from a lithium overdose. But I don’t think Britney was on lithium until after the conservatorship was established, right?

I was thinking about it more from this angle:

Imagine you’re playing Team Conservators’ side in a Britney Spears Conservatorship: The Board Game from Milton Bradley™ where the object of the game is to capture Britney’s person and estate and steal all of her money. IOW you get to be a pretend sociopath. Is there any way you might envision getting this required statement from a licensed evaluator that pins a legally-binding degenerative, major neurocognitive disorder on Britney Spears without committing any crimes?

I swear they talked to one of the doctors who signed off on her initially and he was shocked to learn she was still under a conservatorship.

James Spar. I just listened to it and I’m not sure I’d characterize it as “shocked.” He said (paraphrasing) that he has no idea why Britney is still under a conservatorship and that neither does anyone else, which seems more like a not privy to inside information angle to me.
