Bringing nature inside: Indoor plants/etc

It may be a one post thread, but UP never ceases to amaze me. I’m trying to make my time at office a little more enjoyable, so thinking about starting to decorate with plants. I’m easing my way in super slow and got my first snake plant on recommendation of a co-worker (pic below is not actually mine).

So curious what plants UP folks are keeping inside? Any favorites? Lessons that didn’t work out?

Get a spider plant, ez game.

Just don’t let things get out of control.

Can it survive with no sunlight and being ignored for several weeks?

Probably.

Succulents are all the rage these days

i’ve been growing night-blooming cereus for the last two years. it’s very low maintenance as a jungle cactus. every cutting is good enough to become its own plant, so i’m upto 6 now and likely will start giving them away. and eventually they are supposed to bloom for one night a year only, with a very strong vanilla fragrance.

I have one of those, grown from a single leaf. It actually blossomed last year.

It smelled strongly like fruity shampoo I’d say.

I’ve got a handful of orchids, a Monstera deliciosa, and a fiddle leaf fig.
