As an action junkie why would I wait 4-8 years to bet on the mayoral primary when I can play 3 card monte down at Port Authority any time I want.
I’m tempted to sell Adams at 0.95 just to avoid the risk of something happening to him in the next 4 months.
I placed a sell at 0.96 for the same reason, hoping it hits once the primary is finalized.
I’ve started playing the approval markets for shits and giggles. I can’t imagine that there’s an edge here unless you’re inside trading or incredibly fast on the draw, and even if you are there isn’t much money to be made because volume is pretty low.
You can currently get 1:1 essentially betting that no poll comes out in the next 14 hours, which seems like a decent bet.
Update: amusingly, two new polls dropped but their movements canceled each other out, so the 1:1 bet on status quo is now at 80c
Someone talk me out of smashing 59 or fewer…

Also trying to max it out right now. Price hovering around 40c but there isn’t enough volume to make a big buy without moving the line a ton.

Got back down to low 40s before surging up to 60. Seems fairly certain this is going to fall apart, but the question now is whether to keep filling my bag at 60 or hope it drops again. I’ve only got 622 shares so far.

I maxed it out up to about 47c, lol. Planning to try and ignore the swings.

It dipped back into the 60s on news that amendment votes are starting in a few, but that was already known and I don’t think it matters because we’re talking about the full bill passing. I bought a few more. Saving some room.
