They have created chaos in their base, and they do not control it fully. They have traded reliable college educated white collar workers and suburban white women for QAnon believers and disgruntled white working class men.
The strength they have is that they can trick them to vote against their own interests because they are so easily manipulated. The weakness they have created is that over half their base is easily manipulated.
To put it in poker terms, the GOP is getting to the river with air a lot and bluffing. The eDems are waiting for sets or better to call, so the GOP is dragging pot after pot. Fuck that shit, raise their ass. Raise them with everything that doesn’t have showdown value and call with any bluff catcher.
Do younger people that grew up in the internet age fall for this crap at the same rate as Boomers do? We might just have to sweat a few decades of this before it gets straightened back again.
In all seriousness though, maybe a couple grand? I’m not sure there will actually be many markets to make money off of if Trump isn’t on the ballot. But I don’t want to make the mistake again of cashing out and having to re-deposit and getting raked 5% again. This is how they suck you in!
