I wasn’t sure if carpool lanes are ubiquitous.

If you don’t have carpool lanes, they’re segregated lanes for people with 2+ or 3+ people in their cars. You’re also allowed to drive in them in electric cars usually. They’re everywhere in SoCal.

I have lots more thoughts on carpool lanes. Like, why am I allowed to drive in a carpool lane with my kids in the car? That’s not taking any cars/drivers off the road.

Only place I have ever seen carpool lanes was in Vegas and 90% of the cars in them were single occupants going 100 using them to pass. Waste of good highway real estate imo.
