Bailout / Stimulus Discussion (Hints Missed & Shartz Fired)

I know a lot of people getting this status filed 18 and owed, and have not yet filed 19. Most people who filed 18 and got a refund directly to their bank account are not having this problem as far as I can tell. Some other people having issues are people who file with paper copies rather than electronically.

All of that describes me.

The IRS website now tells people like me who had a change of address but have not done 2019 taxes not to submit a change of address but to just do your 2019 taxes and they will update the address that way

Got my unemployment application filed. If approved I’ll be on the dole for the first time in my life. Very exciting! I wonder if I get an EBT card?

I don’t think I have ever eaten at a Ruth Chris. But I live in D/FW and there are a lot of really good independent steak houses here.

I think if you are pulling unemployment you would not qualify in most states. Depends on number of family members versus income. But normally the limits are pretty low. Plus even if you qualified the 600 bump would probably reduce the payout amount to zero.

Drat. I’ll never be a lucky ducky.

Mine went from the “Status Not Available” yesterday to a message saying it will be deposited tomorrow today. Was over the threshold in 2018 and under it in 2019, and had just filed 2019 two or three weeks ago.

10/15 is the normal deadline for people who file for the 6-month extension on 4/15. I haven’t heard whether they moved the 10/15 deadline, or what happens when you file for an extension on 7/15.

Lit. Fun fact: even with the sound off, you can hear this guy’s NY accent

So apparently if someone has an immigrant spouse with no social security number, they are being denied the stimulus.

Glad Stephen Miller has remained hard at work in these troubling times.

Damn thats so fucked up.

I’m in this boat. No status, filed for 18 not 19 and owed in 18

Everyone i have talked to getting the error is in this boat so far. I assume they are just too incompetent to put the 2018 data in.

Kinda same for my mom. Although she’s also on SS now and I also claimed her as a dependent on my 2019 taxes.

As of right now I’m assuming she won’t get anything because I claimed her as a dependent. Which I guess is fair since she doesn’t really pay any bills. Would have been nice though. Still kinda hoping it slips through the cracks since she filed in 2018 :D

This seems to be the case from everything I’ve read. Those over 18 claimed as dependents aren’t eligible

I’m also in the ‘owed in 2018, didn’t file yet for 2019, payment status not available’ camp.

I also only pay, haven’t filed 2019 and still get the NoCash4U message. Is there anyone who fits that description who HAS gotten their money?

Sitting here watching CSPAN waiting for the Senate to pass the additional CARES funding. That’s where this thing has brought me.
