Prepare for an infinite loop of your check being 7-10 days away. Basically, Donald Trump just told you “Checks in the mail!”
My business bank accounts are with Capital One… and they haven’t gotten past this sorry excuse for a webpage (which didn’t even exist until Monday AM): Business Customers | Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Capital One
I’ve been ready to apply since early last week lol. Seriously I’m annoyed enough to change banks over this. I was strongly considering moving everything (personal and business) over to a local credit union before this, and honestly when the dust clears I’ll probably run not walk.
That would drive me crazy, especially
We are currently testing the effectiveness of our submission process with a small number of existing business banking customers
Submitted an EIDL app 8 days ago. So far have not gotten so much as an email from them.
Yeah the essence of conservative, shitty, white-guy bluster is arm-chair quarterbacking from complete ignorance without a shred of self-awareness. Hey! Look at that, shitty ignorant guy who constantly hammered how incompetent the ACA rollout was finds out it’s a lot more complicated and difficult to manage something like that yet instantly forgets all past criticisms. Just fucking leave this planet…
We were told today that our loan was approved by the SBA and that we have some sort of registration number that reserves funds under the program.
However, our bank still needs more guidance from the SBA on how to issue the loan, so we wait for the money for a few more days (weeks?).
I submitted mine today. At the end it gave me a confirmation number and said i will be emailed when they are processing my application. Said they expect processing to take about a week.
So now they may be changing the $10k EIDL grant such that it’s limited to $1k per employee. Fuck.

I get that it’s for public safety reasons, but someone might want to have thought that through. Need to be unemployed AND own a car huh?
Not good.
The irony of this is that as the size of the business grows, the less impact $10K is likely to have. Among other issues, of course.
This should solve a lot of problems.
Maybe if these lazy unemployeds pulled themselves up by their bootstraps, they’d find a car under there.
If you want to drive yourself really crazy check out r/smallbusiness. Lotta people losing their shit. But, also some positive stories of EIDL and PPP money coming through.
I don’t have the time to pore over the thread 30 posts at a time, but does anyone know anything regarding unemployment claims for independent contractors in the State of Florida?
Specifically should my wife apply though the state system and then appeal or wait for them to provide the application for federal benefits?
This may be unique to my institution but the biggest problem by far is the applicants not following simple instructions. The application is TWO PAGES and the error rate is at least 95%. Then, people are confused by the concept of supporting their claimed payroll expense with documentation. We’re set up to approve these things basically instantly now, but people can’t seem to get their shit together.
Are you new here in USA#1? (I ask because you seem surprised by ineptitude, incompetence and buffoonery.)
Eta-meant to respond to riverman’s post dammit.

So if you don’t have direct deposit you will be able to add it. Which is good because as previously noted, stimulus payments via check might take as much as 5 months.
