Bailout / Stimulus Discussion (Hints Missed & Shartz Fired)

The whole premise that PPP can be earmarked for payroll is absurd on its face as money is fungible.

At an absolute minimum, the forgiven loans should count as taxable income to the extent the business is profitable in the year of receipt.

Poor people have to pay tax on forgiven credit card debt, to highlight the absurdity.

No, When money goes to businesses it gets called a “forgiveable loan”, when it goes to people it gets called welfare or a handout.

Ok, $2k sounds good to me!

How about every month, Rand?!

You’re right Rand, we SHOULD be taxing the rich more. Thanks for the input!

I don’t give two fucks about any of that but wtf about this !

Not for the users, but for the companies

Almost everybody that gets one of those claims insolvency and it’s not taxable.

That headline leaves out some very important words

“illegal streaming for commercial profit could become a felony”

Watch party nights gonna be fun going forward… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

When you’ve lost the WSJ editorial page

Are they deplorables? Because if theyre just struggling working people that sucks.

Normal working people. The hours she is recording is from me employing her and she was serving in restaurants before this started. She has to go to court vs the UI department apparently. I turned in a form stating she wasn’t limiting her hours with me on purpose.

I don’t know what all this exactly means but it has no business being jammed into reilief/funding bill.
