Awful shit Trump did today (Hi Mrs.TSA agent looking at my phone)

Which current leadership has demonstrated an inability to do.

Yeah, that’s why we should get rid of them. But not because we need real fighters to force a government shutdown and accomplish… TBD, but so that we can get rid of all the baggage and focus on winning votes in 2026.

Did the delete stuff about Ted Williams?

Or is being white protected?

Just a note on SSA. I needed to talk to them for a client and it said it would be 70 minutes for a call back but took about 100 minutes until they called.

I’m in the middle of helping my m-i-l do something with SS. She could verify identity online, but the final message was call anyway. Calling was not getting a call back at all or waiting two hours on hold and giving up. She tried to call the local office for an appointment but couldn’t get through. Walking in to the office was quite easy - no lines - able to see someone - person was quite helpful.

Türkiye: Massive escalation in ongoing crackdown including arrest of Istanbul mayor - Amnesty International

I don’t quite buy this, that Trump thinks that his opposition is completely synthetic and by taking down the Big Law, government agencies liberalism is wither. It’s that conservatives have convinced themselves that they’ve been on the withering assault of tyranny for 20 years and so they’re just doing what has been done to them.

Also, I’d argue that some of the steps he thinks were skipped weren’t really skipped. They were just sufficiently implemented in other administrations that Trump didn’t have to focus on them now.

UPDATE: Boasberg gives the government a day to decide whether it actually wants to invoke state secrets privilege, instead of just saying they might (while noting they never mentioned it before), rejecting their other claims. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.278436/gov.uscourts.dcd.278436.38.0.pdf

“Cause it’s an invasion.”

He better stay out of cane range.

And his buddy too.

Older people are slower to accept change and trump musk are going 150 miles per hour changing things.

FREE SPEECH ABSOLUTISM

I would be in trouble.

(The first one was a note I typed to a deaf friend of mine when trump got shot. I heard about it first in cvs).

According to a diplomatic source to AFP, the incident occurred on March 9. The space researcher was reportedly subjected to a random check upon arrival, during which his work computer and personal phone were searched. The same source also reported that messages discussing the Trump administration’s treatment of scientists were found. He was reportedly accused of messages "that reflect hatred toward Trump and can be described as terrorism ." His professional and personal equipment was reportedly confiscated, and the researcher was sent back to Europe the next day.

Reminder of freedom of opinion

According to another source briefed on the case to AFP, the French researcher was accused by the American authorities of “hateful and conspiratorial messages.” He was reportedly informed of an FBI investigation, for which "charges were dropped ," the source continued.

The U.S. Attorney’s for the District of Columbia has dropped an assault case against Enrique Tarrio, the Proud Boys member who was serving 22 years in federal prison following his conviction of seditious conspiracy in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol until Trump granted him clemency on his first day in office.

Tarrio was arrested last month after dozens of the more than 1,500 defendants pardoned or granted commutations by Trump showed up to the Capitol and Tarrio was seen swatting a phone from a protester’s hand in an event witnessed by nearby police. Tarrio was placed under arrest, and an initial hearing had been set to take place in D.C. Superior Court tomorrow.

Three sources within the law enforcement community confirmed to NBC News and News4 WRC that the assault case against Tarrio was “no papered," or dropped, by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
