If only I had asked Sabo to join me in a detailed thread to open discussion about the hottest topics on the forum, wrote the entire OP manifesto, batted hard for him with others when he immediately broke our agreed upon rules, then engaged in tons of PMs begging him to act in good faith only to fail dramatically.
If only I was willing to engage.

Just for the record, this board has led me to read a lot of anti capitalist writing and listen to several podcasts. This has led me to adopt several of these core tenants but not all.
There is no fair way to argue I am the one refusing to engage in ideas.
I question the judgment and reading comprehension of anyone who read the landlords thread and thinks Sabo was interested in genuine discourse.
The forum rains down instant and merciless bullying and refusal to do anything but mischaracterize what it means to abolish landlords, and then when he responds to that, that’s proof he’s here in bad faith
If you argued in good faith, you would be swayed by the stunning logic and moral superiority of clovis.

Yeah, but I’ve also read the same anti - capitalist, ban all guns shtick from folks here for as long as you and I still am a pro capitalist gun owner that has solidified my belief that it’s almost always comes from resentful grudge-holding sadists.
“Engaging” someone’s ideas doesn’t have to mean to sway their, or assess your own opinion or anything more than just to hear someone out. In short, the "good faith bad faith is overdone and Sabo should be allowed to post here, imo.
Edit: Based from what I’ve seen he should be allowed to post. I don’t know if he casted out donkey porn to everyone or something.

I don’t think the landlord thread is actually what’s generated such a strong reaction from people here. I’ve been skimming the first few hundred pages of that, seems mostly fine.
That place sounds miserable!

Fwiw this is less about any one individual and me having less time than I think the position deserves. The rest of the mod team is fantastic though, especially Tilted who I think does an amazong job.
