Their response to that being pointed out was

which just changed the focus from the purpose of these libraries to the value of the secondhand book market in which these arch crimimals operate.

Fun stuff

Thank god for TikTok pretty sure it can be played there and even make money for Taylor.

Stupid ass cops

Sounds like the police stole the books then returned a portion of them.

Some implicit bias training and more funding for military weapons will solve this issue. If he treats a black coworker like this wonder what he does to black people he arrests

It’s because they get all those grift books but don’t actually read them so they just give them away.

Of the 1,351 calls STAR responded to over the last year, not one had to request backup from the Denver Police Department.

Shocking.

“We try to let people feel heard about what’s going on that day, and oftentimes I’ll just ask, ‘What would be helpful to you in this moment? How can we solve this problem today?’”

Isn’t that what the police do?

A report by Denver public safety found the STAR team — composed of Sailon, licensed clinical social worker Chris Richardson and a rotating crew of paramedics — was able to resolve the issues six minutes faster than police without acquiring the high costs that come with involving fire departments, emergency medical services and hospitals.

Better results, less costs.

The last words Michael Chad Breinholt heard were, “You’re about to die, my friend.”

Then a West Valley City police sergeant pulled the trigger.

Breinholt’s mother, Susan Neese, has seen the final moments of her 31-year-old son’s life. The body camera footage from Aug. 23, 2019, shows he was intoxicated at the police department.

With his hands cuffed behind his back, he briefly wrestled with two officers. One screamed that Breinholt was grabbing his holstered gun. Sgt. Tyler Longman rushed into the room, made his declaration and fired.

“He took the time to think about that, to say those words,” Neese said in a recent interview. “And then aim and shoot. And kill Chad.”

Did he just run a red light? To be fair, those bikes have an insanely high torque ratio and it’s easy to pop the clutch like that first time on one

Police did nothing wrong here, but goes to show how scary it is to be Black person and call for help. Not only was she treated rudely by the 911 dispatcher, but she felt the need to implicitly ask not to shoot her husband

No idea if this has a chance of actually passing, but GA Lt. Gov is trying to shepard a proposal through the legislature that would give a 100% tax credit (up to $5000/individual, $10,000/couple, 75% of the full tax bill for corporations) for donations to police departments.

How’d you like to be a small business owner in rural Georgia when the Sheriff swings by to ask if you’d like to donate? I wonder if cruisers will be equipped to process donations during traffic stops?

JFC, how this ever come to trial for attempted murder???

They finally found some police to abolish.
