I understand the security and paparazzi angle, but there’s no other indoor venue that you could rent other than an arena above Penn Station? Rent out the Palace of Versailles. Or the Sydney Opera House. Or the Taj Mahal. Maybe you can’t rent all those out, but you catch my drift.

I’m not saying this is why they chose MSG, but she would get completely destroyed from a PR perspective if she did it at any of those places.
They should have done it at Arrowhead Stadium but maybe the World Cup got in the way

If they want to have a big group, it’s probably the best place. Convenient for anyone, low impact to community. I suppose taking over a whole LV casino would be better, but prohibitively expensive

On one hand this is the opposite of monetizing the event.
But I suppose a cynic might see it as just another way to capitalize on the moment, an investment into their wholesome brand.
Although I didn’t receive an invitation to any of the events(!), I still choose to believe in the genuine good-heartedness of the couple.

NYC is super easy for all of their guests to get to. Indoors prevents drones/helicopters bothering them. Secure space. And NYC can easily handle the event without causing too much distribution to everyone who lives and works there. It’s not the most glamorous, it is a somewhat surprising venue choice, but it makes sense for the reasons listed imo.

Another cynic might say $26 million is nothing to such a rich person. I don’t know who that cynic is.
IMO her options were Alcatraz, Epstein Island, or stay single forever.
