I canât speak for Ukraine, but there is a minority of people in Warsaw Pact countries and FSU who do pine for the days of the Soviet Union.
When I visited Armenia, the mother of my host was playing up nostalgia of living in Armenia under the Soviet Union which was quite shocking for me to hear.
In my experience, I find that the better the country did post-USSR, the less of that exists. So in the Czech Republic, such sentiment is extremely rare. But again, Armenia has been in two wars since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and older people probably look back at those days as better.
I speculate in the case of Ukraine that Russia has basically bought and paid for some leftist politicians in Ukraine.

CBS also put up battleground state numbers again, with âestimatedâ in the fine print, so IMO those can be ignored.

The last poll #s plus the date of those #s should be mandatory in all tweets. Often theyâre missing one or both. I think the trend is more interesting to see than the poll #s, which can vary wildly from poll to poll.
That swing from Trump +2 to Kamala +5 since early August is massive.

One thing thatâs concerning is that RCPâs average of the battlegrounds is neck and neck.
Joe put us in such a massive hole though and Kamalaâs been slowly improving.
Joe was down by 4.3 in the battleground average right before he was ousted and then Kamala opened at a 2.5 deficit in the first battleground polls vs. Trump and has erased that deficit, but canât seem to increase it over the last month. They were even on 8/22 and theyâre even on 9/22.
