I recently was trying to help someone change doctors, guy is on Medicaid. The largest health care network in tarrant county, Fort Worth, is JPS. They have a six month waiting list to see a doctor for a first appointment. They make up about 60% of the eligible Medicaid providers in the area.
Obviously people on Cadillac plans will have an easier time switching doctors but as you note the wait for specialists can be crazy. Even pcp non emergent care can take a while for higher tier insurance. People just want to ignore the reality of their own healthcare when confronted with superior systems.
Always love the “don’t be political so and so celeb”. Especially when it relates to discussions about the ability to exist as a human being.
You can’t just throw up don’t talk politics as some kind of shield and expect people to acquiesce. Anyone who wants to ostrich politics in 2024 is a broken person who lacks humanity.

I am on a very high end insurance plan and it took roughly 7 months to see a doctor about sleep apnea, get diagnosed, and begin treatment.
Does the pope normally endorse us presidential candidates? I am clueless if they have.
I’ve taken to asking for a list of which professions are approved to talk politics. I gather that actors are a no, but farmers are a yes? I can’t tell where accountants fall. What about funeral directors?

To the best of my knowledge, never directly. But he can signal a preference by referring to issues important to the Church. In this case I guess it’s a coin flip.
