I keep seeing people citing Polymarket and specifically that it has the candidates tied after the debate.
Polymarket uses crypto. It seems to me that the user base, people who are both versed in crypto and want to bet on politics, would skew republican. Thus, I feel like the market would skew republican.
I could be way off, just a random musing.

I think this effect you describe is the case also to at least some extent.
Still, while the credibility of the betting sites is quite debatable, it’s a very useful tool on nights like this when something notable happens, because - no matter the partisan lean - the movement during is a strong indication of at least what a large number of people feel happened before our eyes. I feel reassured to see some sort of tangible proof that our reaction was in no way an outlier. I mean, we’re also seeing that in the reactions everywhere else too, but still.

IMO the only rationale I could see the Harris camp having re: another debate is that nobody is voting yet, so perhaps they are trying to keep the door open in case they think they need her to whoop him again when people are voting for it to matter.
I can definitely see both sides to wanting another debate. On the one hand, quit while you’re ahead. It’s not going to get any better than baiting him into talking about Haitians eating dogs. On the other hand, if you can beat him down again closer to the election, then go for it.
Obviously Harris wants more debates, but I’m not sure how you get past the inevitable ultimatum that it must be on Fox.
Agree to it being on Fox, but with non-Fox moderators. Probably a non-starter, but puts it on him as rejecting.

When I was on PI, the betting lines were heavily tilted toward Qanon stuff, like will Hillary be arrested, etc.
