Shifty Schiff, Cryin’ Chuck & the CHINA virus getting it done

On the one hand you are completely right. And, Dems and Republicans each see the other side as separate from them. And so neither can actually bring about peace.

I probably shouldn’t be posting. My way of engaging the world doesnt much fit in, on UP. This is first a politics board and I do not believe politics or governments can bridge any divide. Because the misunderstanding is built into the system.

Maybe that’s a useful counterpoint, and maybe it’s hurtful.

this mild covid is also a perfect way to just run out more clock… the entire biden strategy is to just run out clock until they can push the virtual vote. they have to be disappointed it got pushed back.

This honestly should be her campaign strategy. Kamala 2024: lets stick it to hillary again! Just have every stump speech be about how salty hillary would be if she won.

Truly a unifying message

if Joe Biden drops out before the Democratic Convention, what’s your preference?
  • Kamala Harris becomes the new nominee with full support of the party
  • Something Else

I think on a pure odds of winning list I’d have Kamala below M Obama/Whittaker/Newsome/Priztker, but if the rules lawyers are right about how only Kamala can use the funding and staff they’ve acquired so far, Kamala is the legit only Plan B

i think “preference” is the right choice of words. i voted kamala but she definitely isn’t my favorite candidate… i just think it’s way smoother of a handover and that will come with numerous benefits that outweigh a slightly better candidate.

so i think pritzker could just self fund. so i would take him out of that list. if pritzker is willing to throw 300million+ of his own money in, then who cares about the biden/harris money which is less than that.

The way I see it:

  1. convince Joe to step down and endorse Kamala
  2. convince Kamala to step down and endorse the real candidate
  3. free ponies!

It’s just so fitting in this timeline of events that we also have such an unelectable VP to boot.

Somewhat how I feel, but I went the other way. It’s very close.

Either choice is miles better than Joe staying in.

Okay, that’s pretty good.

Why both? Can’t you disagree with someone about what you think the most likely outcomes are without thinking they are? being immoral?

Maybe you’re wrong. I don’t see how you can be sure.

If you’re sure, so sure that anyone disagreeing is being stupid and immoral, then how about 10 to 1 on that?

If you’re wrong are you being immoral?
