The extent to which Trump is the candidate of the billionaire class becomes clear when we note that a much higher percentage of his donations come from the very richest Americans. As the Financial Times reports: âTrump is particularly dependent on US elites, with about a third of the money raised by the campaign and allied groups coming from billionaires, compared to about 6 per cent of the funds raised by Harris-aligned groups.â In other words, Harris could give up her billionaire funding and it would barely make a dent in her coffers, whereas billionaire money is essential for Trump.
I guess I donât understand advertising. If I paid for that billboard in that location, with thousands and thousands of front line workersâ eyeballs on it every day, wouldnât I say something like vote for stronger unions, vote for protecting dreamers, vote for womenâs rights (or whatever you thought your 2-3 strongest messages were, vs. just âvote for freedomâ?

Maybe thatâs the next ad? Theyâve got gobs of money. First ad could just be to establish brand awareness. Maybe the thought is the first political ad like this on the sphere needs to be ultra generic. Test the waters.
I assumed each person who sees it would get an individually-targeted ad like in Minority Report.
