Fwiw Iā€™ve had multiple people come to my front door canvassing for Kamala but zero for Trump. Nice to see.

Just submitted my ballot! If NV wins by one vote then you know who to thank.

I almost died laughing at this

I must say the Washington Post non-endorsement thing seems extremely scary to me. Like the most obvious explanation being Bezos expects Trump to win, and I imagine he has decent info to support this belief.

Musk throwing the kitchen sink at a Trump win didnā€™t unsettle me at all, the manā€™s an obvious nutcase. But Bezos has me rattled.

I just hold out hope that there might be sleeper votes with Indies and that women will turn out in droves to protect their bodily rights. Combined with enough Republicans coming to their senses that their candidate is an unfit madman, maybe a convincing win is possible?

Then again, I wouldnā€™t be surprised if she lost either

Yeah I mean thatā€™s pretty much where I stand. Weā€™re drawing live to all three of those happening, but Iā€™m not at all confident. Or maybe they all happen, but young people and blacks decide they love fascism all of a sudden and it more than offsets it. Who knows.

Feels very coin-flippy no matter how much I get pulled in both direction by the various news.

Older people voted for him over Hilary/Joe. Old people die more often than young people.

He will of course still go after Bezos.

Harris - may have to pay taxes with dollars that have zero utility to me

Trump - may literally murder me

Hmm, gotta vote Trump I guess!

Maybe Trump should just stop speaking

I think itā€™s simpler and Bezos just dislikes Kamalaā€™s promise to tax his wealth and doesnā€™t want to use the toy he paid $250 million for to help her out with that.

Biden only lost the 65+ vote by 4 points, Trumpā€™s let the olds die for the economy plan did not really resonate with them.

If weā€™re getting the fascism, I would prefer this in-your-face pure uncut stuff to the incremental ā€œnaw weā€™re not doing the fascismā€ variety.

I guess the good news is Bezos doesnā€™t have any more insight into whoā€™s going to win than your average politics watcher. Probably just covering all his bases since the race looks close.

This, coupled with Nate Silverā€™s point that the election result is ā€œunclear but not necessarily closeā€ (because with a small polling miss thereā€™s a good chance one candidate sweeps all the swing states) is the most encouraging take Iā€™ve seen recently.

Still pretty scary time though. Just solely thinking about the effect on Ukraine (and the knock on effect for the rest of Europe) a Trump win would be an absolute disaster.

I like voting absentee, and I got my ballot in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Iā€™ve spent a lot of time staring at it, not thrilled about my choices at the top of the ticket.

That is, until lately.

Vice President Kamala Harris, her surrogate Democrats and the left-leaning legacy media are all making me ā€“ a conservative who is not MAGA in any way ā€“ actively want to vote for former President Donald Trump.

And I know Iā€™m not alone.

Harris and her fellow liberals are starting to sound a lot like the Democrats did in 2016, and itā€™s a huge turnoff to voters like me.

Spoiler alert: The author has, in fact, been all in on Trump since 2016
