As a Seahawks fan, I definitely already mourned the end of the season as soon as the Cardinals blew the end of last night’s game; I didn’t bother sweating today’s results or even paying attention to what would be good for us. I would have preferred to make the playoffs, but I think this was a fine first season in the Mike Macdonald era.

Tonight’s game gonna be fun. Detroit isn’t playing for anything but they are gonna want revenge for last year’s NFCCG. I bet they bust out a few trick plays that they don’t think are playoff material but could be fun in a meaningless game.

On one hand the logical thing is to rest everyone in a meaningless game
On the other hand, I feel like it’s nearly impossible given all the stuff that goes into a week of NFL Preparation and the rhythm of the season. Like calling up a bunch of Practice Squad guys, making guys play different roles than what they’re used to, having to spend time getting backups prepared so they don’t go get themselves killed, and throwing off the rhythm of your first stringers… By the time you factor in all the changes you need to make to avoid injury risk, it might actually be better to not make changes and just hope for good injury luck to keep all of your systems rolling.
I’m fine with whatever they do. They will be ready for the cum socks
