They could win. It’s possible. They won’t really be trying if the starters are benched, even if the backups are giving it 100%.
The team wants to beat the Broncos to the point of anything but putting their stars in harm’s way. There is no part of them that would rather lose to the Broncos to keep the Bengals out.
You want to keep your division rivals down and rip their hearts out. Losing to the backups at home in a must win game would be the ultimate insult.
