Is it though? I kind of expect all aircraft carriers and whatnot to be named like that. Seems more fitting than, say, the USS George Floyd.

Immigration agents don’t have body cams I take it.

It’s the USS George H. W. Bush. After the WWII naval aviator and 41st president.

"I am proud to announce that the next two Gerald R. Ford-class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers will be named for two former presidents: Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. "

Very dumb if the left gets worked up over this. Just wait for the backlash from the right for the USS Barack Obama.

Interesting. One potentially annoying thing is did it hit your credit report? Something like this happened to my mother recently. I don’t think she ever got an answer to what happened. But the provider accidentally charging an expired card makes sense. Like did some new code they implemented grab the oldest card for a customer or maybe sorted by card number or something.

Just quickly skimmed and some of those Trump tattoos are clearly post 2016. Obviously Trump is ahead today. The question was who had more in 2016. You even quoted it. Maybe you spent longer and confirmed which were definitely pre-2016. I can’t think of an easy way to do that.

Also I didn’t see a couple of the ones BusinessGenius posted in your search results, so it is clearly missing some.

Yeah, I shouldn’t have quoted you. That should have been a response to BusinessInsider who thinks Hillary’s “cult” is equal to Trumps.

Is this how these matching programs work? They pay the employee the match? Otherwise this scheme doesn’t net the employees more money. I assumed the match would go to the charity. But is it really just a reimbursement?

Employees worked with certain non-profit organizations to create fake donations.

In this scheme, employees made donations that were later returned to them while still keeping Apple’s matching contributions.

Seems like they were coordinating the frauds with the charities.

Seems like it would be difficult to catch, wonder if someone snitched or someone doing due diligence got lucky?

Hard to say. Charities are typically audited and the tax relief associated with them will draw attention from the IRS. Without knowing the specifics, I would guess that someone in accounting or the IRS caught that the donations from employees were going in and then out without proper documentation, and that unraveled the scheme.
