If the teacher sees the kid using the phone when they are not supposed to, they take it. The parent has to get it back from the office. If this happens often I guess they get suspended.
This seems like a better policy than locking all the phones in pouches or lockers, imo.
I do agree this should be mentioned at the time of buying the ticket. Pretty simple disclaimer on the Ticketmaster site āThis performance makes use of lock bag technology to remove cell phones from the audience. Any use of a cell phone during the performance for any reason will result in expulsion from the venue and no refunds will be issued.ā
Iām having a hard time imaging how figuring out how everyoneās app is set correctly is going to be substantially faster when going in. Leaving, obviously, is much improved.
Really? To me, throwing my phone in a pouch takes less time and is way less invasive than making me download some random piece of software that is going to essentially brick my phone. Between tech issues with the app, spotty wifi/cell phone service at a lot of venues, and general pushback from people who donāt any more want random stuff on their phones, having to make sure people actually start the software, etc. an app sounds like a much bigger headache.
