Nobody on earth would guess the purple in todays connection.

EDIT: I haven’t locked any groups in yet, but I might have figured out the purple one. If it’s not purple, it’s blue. Regardless, this is a tough puzzle.
EDIT 2: I think the one I thought was purple is blue. I have three groups and can’t figure out the relationship among the final four words, so I’m either wrong, or it’s purple.
EDIT 3 @clovis8 : Flawless victory, but yeah, I didn’t figure out the purple category. I ALMOST did, however - I was pretty sure it was music-related (I had the Bye, Bye, Bye and thought it could be Please Please Me, but couldn’t seal the deal, so I finally just locked it in to get the reveal.

I managed to figure it out.
What I didn’t figure on was that the obvious top line answer that’s normally a red herring was the actual answer. Yellow was the last one I got.

I forgot all about Deldar. We battled for a few years in 5/10-25/50nl on Pokerstars.
I absolutely hate when they use words from a quote, quotes from a movie or lines of a song. Thats not a connection. Its just a thing.

Dammit. I ordered two of these things for the kids for Christmas. I ordered them in early November, and they came in a few weeks ago. I went to wrap them together in the box today. I thought, I’ll open the box just to check on things. It was actually a power strip I had ordered and forgot about. The label on the box was from a company called “Techniart”, I was so sure that’s what was in the box I never even opened it. So I check on the toy order and it checked in at Savannah, GA USPS 11/23 and no record since.
My stepdad hates graham cracker crust on cheesecake more than anything else in life. I showed him this and he passed out.
