2024 LC Thread

I work with disabled adults, mostly non verbal autistic people and we take them out two to four times a month. We have luckily not had any bad experiences on any of our outings but I can understand the potential frustration and anger the teachers and family felt. The story doesn’t really go into depth as to what Cracker Barrel did specifically but I can imagine.

2022 and 2023 I got a refund check after I paid my outstanding tax bill. Like they said you still owe us x when I filed and then 6 months later I get a check saying you actually didn’t owe us that much here’s some money.

Amazing system we have here

Had Iliza Schlesinger through our venue last night. She does some really great high energy manic comedy. Thats not normally my bag, but she nailed it. She did a joke at one point that had her doing squat jumps from one side of the stage to the other AND BACK. My fucking hammies hurt just watching it.

Favorite mall all time?

Don’t know if it’s my favorite, but the Cambridgeside Galleria was a pretty good type of mall. Not too high end, generic food court, mid-scale chain restaurants, etc.

Haven’t been there in a long time, so no idea what it’s like now

My favorite was Forest Fair Mall (RIP) in Cincinnati. Still the only place to this day I’ve seen or played a Sega Time Traveler cabinet. It had an absolutely amazing arcade which is one of the few and perhaps only surviving stores that relocated after the mall closed. Many years after first visiting as a kid when it peaked, I got a chance to walk it when it was almost completely empty which was an eerie yet calming experience.

I used to go to Gatlinburg pretty regularly (usually as part of church trips). There are some big arcades there, and I remember the Time Traveler machine and its hologram being pretty mind-blowing.

Legal advice needed:

Very successful billionaire dollar chain restaurant is selling food that is contaminated with chemicals. When I google the issue, it comes up a bunch. It seems very unlikely that they aren’t aware of the issue. How do I as the consumer, best go about bringing a lawsuit? Obviously, if this were to go viral, it would be bad for them. However, it’s not like I have suffered any immediate health issue due to consuming the food.

What’s the chemicals?

Is it Little Caesar’s? I felt sick the three times I ate their pizza. I thought there might be heavy metals in the dough.

looking into how to do lab testing but it’s contaminated from the packaging.

Not a lawyer, but if this issue is known, and comes up on google, why has no one else filed suit? What’s the evidence? And what do you hope to gain from a lawsuit? Money? You say you have not been damaged. Maybe you get them to stop doing whatever they’re doing, but is that worth the expense of a lawsuit that has no guarantee of succeeding anyway? Personally, I’d stop eating there, and let someone else worry about suing.

If you haven’t been harmed by their product, you likely won’t be able to successfully sue them because you won’t have standing.
