Oh wow, I forgot that fight is today. Time to gambool.
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow. Bet the house on Paul I think. Youth >>>>>> experience
I am taking some Paul yeah. Tyson was a power boxer. This is not like Mayweather where he can overcome the age disadvantage with flawless technique.
pretty sure the bet is for the fight to go the distance.
How to protest
Have they tried Reaching Across The Aisle like Very Serious People?
Tyson looks pretty bad despite the way they try to make him look good in these promo videos. I think Paul is probably a good bet. But, if boxing is ever fishy, and it is sometimes fishy, this fight stinks. I donāt trust it. I donāt know how that would impact a betting decision, though maybe it pushes it more towards an underdog.
I donāt know, itās kind of hard for me to imagine Paul agreeing to do a fight where he is going to take a dive against a washed up 58 year old. What for? He had a lot of other things going on at the time he took up boxing, so it seems like something he is doing because he wants to do it. Heās a wealthy guy already and it would harm his reputation if he flopped against an obviously subpar Tyson. Just donāt see it happening. I could definitely see Tyson taking a dive, but thatās fine by me.
Does seem more likely. And betting on who might take a dive is a perfectly cromulent thing to bet on. Itās probably a lot more likely to be a draw - that might be a thing to bet on.
And I wouldnāt bet itās a fix at even money or anything, but itās so not legit that I donāt know if thereās even a presumption that itās real.
And, kinda, but not really. Deontay Wilder is the 14th ranked WBC heavyweight and thereās no way in hell Jake Paul is ever thinking about that. Jake hasnāt been a complete joke, but heās not quite serious either.
Yeah, hedging for the draw is probably sensible.
And subpar is giving him more credit than he should get. If it wasnāt that he was washed up at 35 when he fought Lewis (who is older) then heās right not to worry about his legacy.
eta: and I donāt mean that Lewis wasnāt a great fighter, he was, itās just that it was so obvious that Tyson had zero chance against him.
I did hedge. Will break even on a draw/no contest now. Only losing on a Tyson win.
Heās never fought a real fighter, has he?
Tommy Fury is a real boxer and he beat Paul, but it was a split decision.
Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Tyrone Wooley, Ben Askren and Mike Perry are real fighters of course, but not boxers.
And they were all past their prime and werenāt trying. I feel that one āgoodā tyson fury result is what heās hung his entire brand on. Iām not convinced tyson fury tried that hard either.
