I think fresh or not introduces a lot of variance in apples. Like I see honeycrisp are on sale rn but I have had some underwhelming experience with them so I usually go :green_apple:

Have you made a pie with honeycrisp? It works great for that.

From Nate Silver’s biog today:

There was no escaping Donald Trump yesterday.

I mean, literally in my case. I live close enough to Madison Square Garden, where Trump held a controversial rally yesterday, that I was in the area cordoned off by police barricades.

Now I’m really wondering where he lives. I don’t exactly consider the MSG/Penn Station area to be a residential neighborhood, so seems like kind of an odd choice for him. Also, I was walking around there yesterday around the rally time. To think I could have crossed paths with Nate himself!

Heh, reminds me of when a coworker told me he lived at like 35th and 7th, and that was possibly the first and only time I’ve heard of a person living at a location like that.

FWIW, here were the street closures yesterday:

The Epic is one of the big buildings in that area that comes to mind. I remember looking at it when it was under constructions and wondering who would want to pay those high rents to live next to Macy’s.

Get out of my Waymo!

Four waymo cars and an Amazon van block traffic.

“The implication is that a woman has suddenly become a second-class citizen or an irresponsible child who can’t be trusted to pay her own bills — just because she got married,” she testified. “It’s not only unfair and demeaning, but ridiculous and unreasonable that a woman should have to forfeit her economic identity because she changed her name.”

She noted that American Express began sending her account’s bills to her husband, and when he didn’t pay them because she already had, suspended his card, causing him to be locked out of a hotel room.

Fried chicken sandwich (can include Nashville hot chicken if that floats your boat)

French dip

Fried Chicken Sandwich vs. French Dip. We need a tiebreaker. First person to pick a side itt who didn’t vote in the sandwich thread wins. Good luck all!

Can’t go wrong either way but fried chicken sandwich would be the wrong choice.

This is America not France! Vote appropriately.

I’ve never had a French dip but I can be persuaded. It’s what, a beef baguette dipped in gravy?

Is the gravy good?

It’s not bomb ass white country gravy but it’s good.

More like broth than gravy. Effectively just meat juice. But delicious.

Pull the trigger, Rugby.
