2024 LC Thread: Name That Tune

I’m sure creative types could turn this into a meme with her holding something special.

If she’s making a connection, it’s close. I’d prefer further away if possible. I can still smell the battery acid and see a scar on my hand.

The portable battery jumper is a good idea but if the battery is close to completely discharged may not be good enough. I have a pair of jumper cables in my trunk just in case.

The way I cropped it, that’s out of frame. I’ll probably go to hell for this.

What? Like an aftermarket cool air intake? Probably only adds 10-20 horsepower max

There’s nothing wrong with connecting directly to both posts. .

I was taught to clip it to the engine block.

What I find ironic is that Medicare for All is a left wing pipe dream but right wing universal voucher education is just common sense. Universal healthcare is almost always paired with cost controls for this exact reason though. Somehow the socialists are more responsible than the libertarians (is as it always was)

Yet in a lesson for these other states, Arizona’s voucher experiment has since precipitated a budget meltdown. The state this year faced a $1.4 billion budget shortfall, much of which was a result of the new voucher spending, according to the Grand Canyon Institute, a local nonpartisan fiscal and economic policy think tank. Last fiscal year alone, the price tag of universal vouchers in Arizona skyrocketed from an original official estimate of just under $65 million to roughly $332 million, the Grand Canyon analysis found; another $429 million in costs is expected this year.

No idea what to do with the new all electric car vis a vie jumping another car, probably just offer to call a tow truck…

They have regular 12v batteries. I think they can jump pretty easily

A massive distribution of wealth from the state to rich parents?

This seems a feature not a bug.

Legendary rock star Jon Bon Jovi was in the right place at the right time on Tuesday evening when he helped prevent a potential tragedy on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville.

While Bon Jovi was on the bridge for a photo shoot, he noticed a woman on the outer edge of the bridge, appearing as though she was preparing to jump into the Cumberland River below. The incident was fully captured on surveillance video, posted to YouTube by Metro Nashville Police Department.

Bon Jovi, known for his compassionate spirit, and his team were seen speaking with the woman and successfully convinced her not to jump. Emergency responders, including the Nashville Fire Department and Metro Nashville Police Department, arrived shortly after.

It’s a good thing the bridge wasn’t wet!

Yea I was looking at it from ‘doing the best for society while being financially responsible’. Sometimes I am an idealist.

Going to be funny when it continuously blows a huge hole in the budget and they have to keep cutting water projects so Car Lot Owner Jr.'s 4th grade class at Prestigious Elementary has Glenn Close give a seminar on being your true authentic self as an actor. Or the local private school gets the nation’s 5th biggest stadium and a field house with personalized hot tubs while the state cuts foster parenting.

7am quake around Malibu. Got a mild shake from it. Think it was around 5.0. Have felt like 3 quakes this year, which is a lot.

Pretty good shake in Glendale. People on the Westside said it felt big out there. I think it’s been dropped to 4.7 - seems like the initial reading is always higher.
