It depends on what you mean. They were kind of hamstrung by the rules, which made Kamala the only choice that work that was more or less within the rules.
If we’re setting aside rules, any straight, white mainstream Dem. There is no retrospect here for me. I’ve posted this take a lot in the last several months.

Kamala busted her ass and ran a great campaign under the circumstances. If the country wants Trump, then that’s on them.

As I said, instead of attacking Biden for most of primary season, Trump can attack Harris directly that whole time.

Imagine living in West Virginia and being convinced that this is the year you will stop sucking thanks to your GOP vote
she had a pretty large lead in the polls to start off due to the enthusiasm of Biden dropping out and then it was basically downhill from there.
White folk got super pissed that they had to stay inside during covid and they are looking to get even. Fun.
By the way, Trump is polling super well in NYC. He will not win NY obviously but the popular vote is in play.
