Itās been great watching so many deplorable shitstains Ive known the last several years leave CA for florida, only to find out their cost of living isnt that much better, and they have much shittier weather + natural disasters, worse schools, not even to mention the food is dogshit compared to CA. A few ended up coming back to CA. Itās very funny watching the rationalizations come crashing down. Itās really the worst state, I would live literally fucking anywhere else

Holy moly, just saw a candidate ad for 2026 California governors race on CNN. Must have been bought from the cable company, but still, cāmon man.
Itās this plus a lot of the right NYC-adjacent folks pulling Florida hard right post-COVID. Chris is right, Florida is unattainable.

I have had success reducing poltical texts by persistently replying āstopā for a few weeks.
I gotta say the early results look very much like what you would have expected based on the polling. Seems like we might be in for a long night (few days). Hopefully that is not the case but a Harris blowout does not seem like itās in the cards based on the limited amount of data we have so far.
Still think Harris will ship the rust belt and the presidency.

I appreciate sum-up posts like these, because while Iām here following things like a madman, Iām not knowledgable enough about counties and trends and bla and bla to really have any idea of whatās going on. I am just a euro boy, to quote Simon & Garfunkel.
My personal take is that we are right where you would have expected to be based on the polling. Poll unskewers are the big losers of the night so far.
