Hereā€™s the thing, being nice to them doesnā€™t work, having respect for them doesnā€™t work, fucking racism and misinformation works. Trump openly shits on these people constantly.

Remember the Selzer poll guys? Good times.

You should resign on account of your unique combo of gullibility and arrogant assholitude

If we believe that ppl told you these things, we are forced to conclude that youā€™re unable to recognize they were fucking with you and probably trying to get you out of their hair

have fun continuing to lose elections due to posts like these /s

Wait, WAT?

They started charging for food at Commerce?

I havenā€™t been in 10+ years. When did this happen?

I mean Iā€™m not from LA, so I have no idea. I canā€™t think of anywhere these days (at least in the US) that gives out free food for playing poker.

Havenā€™t played live poker in a decade but i imagine just about every room in the country is doing some combination of comp cutting + raising rake in order to stay afloat. Even before inflation they had already started raising the rake to $6-7+ in most rooms.

According to the final NBC News poll of the 2024 race, 76% of registered voters said they follow public affairs and politics closely. The poll showed Harris winning among that group by 5 points over Donald Trump, 52%-47%.

But among the remaining quarter of voters who said they donā€™t follow politics closely, Trump was ahead by a much greater margin ā€” 14 points, 54%-40%.

I never played a ton, but Commerce was always a little atypical in that regard. If you played on the high stakes side, Iā€™m pretty sure food was free.

Last place I played was Bellagio (in 2023) and I think you get some $/hr that you can use for food. So not exactly free and everything is pretty expensive there. Iā€™d get one meal per day for ā€œfreeā€ (rest of my eating was done elsewhere). Surely that sort of system is still around in a lot of places, right?

Yeah most places you usually get $1 or $1.50 an hour in comps if youā€™re using your card. Best comps I know of are $2/hr at the Hard Rocks in Florida

Sorry to break it to you, but yea people really are this stupid. Iā€™ve sat in during IEP meetings and have seen textbooks being used that are 50+ years old. If you donā€™t want to believe me, thatā€™s fine. It took me a while to come to terms with it as well.

Aria gives you comp dollars per hour, but they will actually deliver it to the room for you.

I think QuantGamble was the one who mentioned having a sub-70 IQ, not BusinessGenius.

Having a 70 IQ marks you as likely being mentally deficient. There are plenty of people who are below 100 IQ and are perfectly functional, normal human beings.

Do you know what Bellagio was gives off hand? Is it less than $2/hr? I managed to get about $25 of Bellagio food per day and I probably averaged about 8hrs a day. Itā€™s possible I had some money left on my card from a prior trip. Do those comp dollars expire? I really have no idea how it works. Iā€™ve been there 3-4 times in 10 yrs.

@NotBruceZ, do you know?

Deleted the IQ comment. And yes, you are correct. Every one of my clients (they are kids) has a parent or guardian that works. The majority of them have a full time job or several part time jobs.

I think Bellagio and Aria give $2/hour and I think they expire after a year, but Iā€™m not sure.

If we were hoping Shapiro would value winning over norms and not be a hopeless law bro. Guess what he isnā€™t that guy.

ā€œThe rule of law matters in Pennslyvaniaā€ - LOL Josh Shapiro

As usual, Jon Stewart nails it.
