2023 NFL Gameday Thread: SUPER refBOWL!

No reg season is different. They only get 10 min of OT and it’s over no matter what. If team #2 never touches the ball, they just lose if the other team scores as the 10 min expires. If the other team just doesn’t score but manages to hold the ball for 10 min, then it goes down as a tie.

I’m curious how that game could have been rigged. The NFL planned a luckbox muffled punt off a dude’s cleat? The refs seemed fine.

Asking for details on how a conspiracy might actually work is a tool the elites use to shut you up. Don’t let them win.

Just sneer and wave vaguely at things that supposedly don’t add up. Demand they prove it’s not a conspiracy.

Longevity. So far.

Grats to Suzzer. Wish that game had some electrifying plays and lolUsher but I guess it is what it is.

I heard a post-game interview where Shanahan said they (I guess meaning the coaches) met and talked about it and had the analytics people involved, etc., and had decided to take the ball first, specifically mentioning they wanted the ball third.

So then it’s a matter of having the team in on the strategy. The devil’s advocate in me wonders how necessary that is - let them focus on executing plays. Although it definitely looks bad when you have those Chiefs and Niners quotes side-by-side.

Wonder who they had booked for the overtime halftime show. Ah, well.

The Jesus commercial for washing feet was weird, right? Is that a normal footbal thing now?

Not since Rex Ryan left coaching, I don’t think.

Reid was perennially competitive with two different teams before Mahomes came along:

Now that he has one of the best QB’s in the league he is on the cusp of one of the best runs in history.

If they win next year that is 4 super bowls in 6 years, only the 70’s Steelers did that.

Every single one of those scenes was actually a slam on right-wing hatred and BS. Therefore I approve.

No one’s ever won three in a row. But they’d still need another one to match Buffalo’s 4 appearances in a row.

Those ads are going to be a thing at every big event for a while. They have a ton of funding (including a bunch from the Hobby Lobby family) and plan it use it on things like the Olympics, the conventions, basically anything that gets big l8ve viewership.

They’re put out by a bunch of right wing haters, though. It’d be nice if it were coming from a place of compassion and inclusion, but it’s just a setup for a bait and switch.

Didn’t expect foot fetish stuff to go mainstream like this.

I’ve seen lots of “He Gets Us” ads during sporting events. When the Bucks played at Charlotte during the in-season tournament, there was even an ad on the court. Don’t know if it was actually there for real or if it was VFX.
