Not my cup of tea but the women at my watch party seemed to love it. I saw usher “live” a few years back at NO jazz fest and i can confirm he isnt that bad so nunn is probably right about some sound issue. He did do his signature shirt removal. What more do you want out of him.
Correct. But this was years ago that this was common. I’m not sure as much how it’s done today. There was a mixture of live and lip synched in Usher’s show.

My understanding is that all the SB Halftime shows are lip synced.
Its incredibly tough to get the audio right to sing live in an arena like that in the right conditions, and when you get limited prep, setup and teardown time, and equipment priority, its so impossible as to not be worth it.
