2023 LC Thread - It was predetermined that I would change the thread title (Part 1)

When you are in Switzerland it’s only a short trip to Austria to see some kangaroos.

Get into the points game and find lie flat business seats on the way there. Will save you a full day plus less jet lag. Let the kids ride in the back, they can handle it.

Depending on how many times you’ve been to Euroland, I’d think it’s a good idea to hit like multiple places, with like 3-4 days each. Can’t really go that wrong in Europe, so may just depend on personal interests, any language you speak, particular interests in art/architecture/history, personal acquaintances you might visit, etc. If you’re doing tourist stuff, try to find a guide for a tour of each city. If you’ve never been to Rome, it’s very impressive. Italy is kinda chill and wacky. Germany tends to be a bit boring. I’d personally like to go to Denmark and maybe Baltics, maybe Bulgaria/Romania. Lots of good youtube travel vids that weren’t around a decade ago.

Update: now maybe we’re going to Greece? This has been a very meandering discussion.

If you’re going to do this check where you can get a deal first!!!

Spiderwife should list her top 3 or 4 options and have UP vote on it.

My way of dealing with this kind of situation is that Mrs. Mosdef will say something like “I can’t decide if I want to go to Italy or Greece” and I’ll say “I’ve always dreamed of going to Italy with a beautiful woman, let’s do that.” And 94 seconds later we’re booked to Italy, easy peasy.

put your biases aside, this guy is a great story teller

I am pretty comfortable with 1. Paris, and that may still be true if you have been there before

In this case correct answer is Paris. Just do that. You can’t miss.

Athens is a great city, imo. Lots to do, great weather, and I have it on good authority that the women are sweet.

Paris is great. Maybe not technically “Europe,” but London is another top choice. Railing around Italy between Rome, Florence, Bologna and Venice is cool if you have time.

This is sad news.

“So I would like to announce our vacation will be to Bastard!”

Prince was my favorite halftime show.

I went to the cowboys first 90s Super Bowl at the rose bowl. The coin toss was done by OJ Simpson and the halftime show by Michael Jackson.
