That headline is an extremely obnoxious way to frame what’s going on. The company is forcing people to show up to unpaid events on top of normal working hours. There are completely understandable reasons why workers would protest that beyond not wanting to be “fun.” “French company loses right to steal wages and bully employees” is a much better framing.
