The road to taking back the house will be a bit harder next time now that they have the NC state supreme court. They’re going to redo the gerrymander next year and take away at least 4 D house seats that we got this time. It will still be possible, but we’ll need to run really good to get back a bunch of NY seats and hold all the tough ones we picked up this time around.
Gosh if only the dems could’ve done something about this while in total control. Ah well, nevertheless.

Yeah, just another illustration of how, while its good democracy didnt straight die last week, we have an uphill battle and are large underdogs to retake power again this generation.
I definitely think there’s an argument to be made that the GOP with a tiny majority might be a better outcome than the democrats with the same. Either way very little is getting done.
