Oh yeah, I like Kenyatta. Fetterman seems good, too (I don’t follow PA politics, so maybe there are bad things I don’t know). I certainly wouldn’t mind one of them being the Dem Senate candidate.
What was the logic of midterm elections? It seems like yet another terrible idea that guarantees social division. Why not align all elections into one cycle like most other countries?
Pretty bearish on 2022. Filibuster reform is dead so voting reform is dead. Also think they we are in a massive asset bubble that pops sooner rather than later. Bubble obviously not created by Biden and the Dems, but the average boomer gonna turn into Awval voting wise if their stonks get cut in half and hard to see enough enthusiasm for the Joe Manchin agenda to turn out new/left voters for the midterm.

So his surge in 2020 ultimately came to late to win the primary versus Amy McGrath, but he was never winning versus Moscow Mitch with Trump on the ballot in Kentucky. Maybe that might actually work in his favor. Maybe, just maybe an actual left candidate could beat Rand fucking Paul in 2022 if government actually shows they can help the poor working class.
It seems he is highly likely to survive, but there’s at least an additional tiny chance Dems will have a shot at another seat that’s not completely impossible to flip with the right matchup in 2022.
