I waffle on this. I went dark on politics for months at a time and then come back full force before having to tap out again.

I’d say the more likely scenario is that before 2024 he quits or gets primaried.
So…back to Jerry Brown. I wasn’t asking because I want him to run for anything. I was asking because he endorsed us. Completely out of the blue and he’s only endorsed one other person this cycle that I can find. He lives off the grid tweeting about climate change, the fact that he reached out to Senator Atkins to connect with us to endorse is actually a pretty big deal.
Also, this was a foregone conclusion since they endorsed us in the primary, but hey
I really really want to see that other poll…

The thing is, he’s literally never had a true electoral challenge before. His old district(s) were ruby red and he never really had to try. Consequently, no one actually knows who he is other than just another replacement-level CA Republican. It’s made it easy for him to hide his extremism, but this new district is definitely not having it.
He is a bland, generic white dude who has been trying really hard to ramp up the attacks to play to the base. Trouble is, that isn’t enough to win anymore. He ran for Congress in 2020 against Issa and DeMaio et al in the primary and got like, 5th. Man ran a CONGRESSIONAL campaign (and was endorsed by the SD Union Tribune, lol) and still half the district has no clue who he is.
