no it doesn’t. no one says consumers of meat replacement need to go all vegan/vegetarian. I’ve started using meat replacements in a lot of cooking, or vegan dishes with a dash of naughtiness - for instance, meat substitute chili w meat stock. it’s pretty good. the impossible patties appeal to me because it’s less beef being consumed and I like the taste.

No it doesn’t

It defeats one of many possible reasons

“Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.” - somebody

Unless it’s on any political issue.

I just ordered one :eyes::eyes::eyes:

That’s not the guy in the NYT article, who is slower and much more chill. This guy’s a speed runner.

Joe Biden is the Impossible Southwest Bacon Whopper of American politics?

well, gimme about 20 mins to return a verdict on that. I suspect yes. looks ok in photos and in theory, but far overpriced and a bit mushy, and there aren’t any alternatives.

yep nbz nailed it. visually appealing when unwrapped, scent is ok. bacon a bit dried out and spongy but pretty solid for fast food burger fare. meat is what you’d expect. technically edible, way overpriced, thinks it’s a lot more than it is, doesn’t do much for me.

joe biden is the american southwest impossible burger with bacon. ASIBB - thanks, brandon.

WAT? Maybe I’m getting leveled here. The guy in jmakin’s link is georainbolt aka Trevor Rainbolt, who is the guy featured in the NYT article. There is even a photo of him that you can compare to the tiktok.

But it’s still better than eating dogshit (aka any Republican), right?

How the heck did she not get ratioed for that?

Yeah I play. I watch Speedruns of it too.

Sorry, was thinking about the guy featured in the New Yorker at the end of June. The Charming Bloke Who Dominates GeoGuessr | The New Yorker

Didn’t realize there were two recent Geoguesser profiles.

I’m going to keep on assuming that Impossible burgers have a much larger environmental impact than beef burgers and we’re just waiting for somebody to run the numbers to confirm it. That’s how these things always work out. I mean fuck, it’s right there in the name, isn’t it?

I’m having a real tough time imagining that.

Yeah, the thermodynamics of that are… challenging.
