They’ve closed all schools for the next two days in Winnipeg in anticipation of the blizzard tomorrow. This hasn’t happened for over 25 years and we got almost 200 CM of snow this winter.
Does anyone actually check this organ donor box on the driver’s license renewal? I find that question seriously offensive. “Would you like to donate items worth hundreds of thousands of dollars so scamming insurance CEOs and hospital administrators can profit bigly?” Nah I’m good, dawg.
But doesn’t it save someone’s life?
Personally I don’t give a shit what you do with my body. So yeah I check that thing. Better than rotting in the ground.

The idea that it’s noble to give a good kidney away for free to these scamming motherfuckers when they’re hitting people up with surprise bills for $30k to tape an ankle blows my fucking mind. Epipens from the Manchin family scammers are a thousand dollars. Organs are free? No way. Time to pay up.

I am much better off concentrating on my own conduct and my impact on the world and those around me rather than the conduct of others. If you can convince me that by volunteering to donate organs I’m actually perpetuating a problem by participating in a fucked system, I’ll listen. But I’m not going to hold onto my organs out of spite.
